After 2 and a half years of wearing, selling and loving SeneGence products I think it is finally time that I narrow down my top 5 products for you, what they are and why I love them. I will add in that this is at the moment because well we keep coming out with bomb products! Also for all you science/ingredient nerds I have included all those details at the bottom so scroll down!
#1 – Colour Correcting Tinted Moisturizer
Oh where do I even start with this one?? Well it is skincare with makeup built into it making it quick, easy and effortless! Our Colour Correcting Tinted Moisturizer often referred to as CCTM is everything you could ever want. It has green pigments in it to cancel out redness and impurities, it comes in 3 colours (light, medium and deep) and colour corrects 4-5 shades making it super easy to choose your shade and having it match perfectly, it has Seneplex Complex in it so it is helping your skin to look and feel better as well as being anti-aging, it has a mechanical shield equivalent of 15 SPF and it provides the perfect amount of coverage to help blur impurities but still let your natural beauty shine through, oh and it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything and you can apply it with your fingers like regular moisturizer!
I use it daily and one bottle ( which has an airless pump so you get every drop) lasts me around 4-5 months. I also love mixing it with pearlizer for some added glow or pearlizer and foundation for some added coverage when I want to get real fancy!

#2 – LashSense Volumeintense Mascara
Ask me a year ago and our mascara would not have been on here BUT SeneGence launched a new one last October and I am seriously obsessed, as is everyone else who has tried it! Not only is our mascara amazing a thicking and lengthing your lashes when applied, it also has Capixly in it which grows your natural lashes by 46% in just 4 weeks! Its like a lash serum that you won’t forget to put on mixed with the best mascara ever! Our mascara is also very voulumious, holds a curl very well and our waterproof is damn well lifeproof and the non waterproof is still humidity proof! I personally wear the black, waterproof all the time but it also comes in non-waterproof and in black/brown.

#3 – Climate Control
Seriously this stuff changed my skin, I went from extreme combination skin to one that is pretty even! I am warning you now once you incorporate Climate Control into your skincare routine your skin will never feel hydrated again without it! This is fondly known in the SeneGence world as Gatorade for your face because it offers such a deep level of hydration!

#4 – ShadowSense
I would say this is probably one of our most underrated products and our most versatile! ShadowSense is a creme to powder eyeshadow. It comes in a tube just like the LipSense (good bye messy, broken pallets!!) and is very concentrated so a little goes an extremely long way! It’s so soft and it feels like little clouds on your eyelids!
You have about 90 second to blend and play with ShadowSense before it sets and becomes waterproof, smudge proof, and crease proof! The best part- it doesn’t fall out and stays on all day! No need to worry about cleaning up your face after applying! ShadowSense is one of my favorite products because of it’s versatility! You can wear them as normal eyeshadow, or use them as eyeliner, blush, contour, concealer, brows, highlight and even on your lips!

#5 – LipSense
Obviously I couldn’t do this post without the product that started it all… LipSense! Although not my favourite overall SeneGence product anymore (CCTM has taken that spot) it definitely makes it in the top 5! I love the worry free aspect of LipSense! I know that I can put it one once in the morning and be confident throughout the day that its not all over my face or teeth or cup! I love that I can kiss my boyfriend, eat and drink and change my outfit all without worrying about my lipstick transfering!
I also really like the ability to mix colours and create the perfect lipcolour to match my outfit or mood! I’m kinda cheating here but because lipsense is a system that only works with the gloss I can also talk about how amazingly hydrating the gloss is and how much I love just wearing the glossy on its own on days when I don’t wear lipsense, especially all out fun tinted ones!

Arnica Montana Flower Extract: made-up of many components, including flavonoids, Silicic Acid, cartonoids and essential oils. The extract from this plant serves as a fungicide and as an immune-stimulant. Medically, Arnica is used externally as an application for bruises, sprains, stings or wounds. Also used after traumatic injuries. In body care Arnica provides a layer of warmth and helps to soothe tired and tight muscles.

Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A): Vitamin A, it is fundamental for increasing skin elasticity and thickening of the epidermis and the dermis. Vitamin A plays an important role in RNA synthesis, known for its cellular renewal properties that speed up exfoliation to reveal younger, plumper skin cells which produces new and healthy cells in the skin and the body, This process of cell renewal and exfoliation helps to reduce the appearance of fi ne lines, wrinkles, and skin irregularities. Synthetic Beeswax: A synthetic wax that encourages lash flexibility.
Butylene Glycol: A humectant that retains scent and preserves against spoilage.
Acacia Senegal Gum: Used as an adhesive, cosmetic, skin conditioning agent and skin protectant.

The Science Behind the Product
Climate Control is unique because of its dual delivery system, which keeps the two key ingredients (SenePlex Complex and SelPlex Complex), inactive and separated into two parts until shaken and combined. SelPlex is a blend of specifically selected herbal oil extracts, mixed vitamins and Tocopherol that soothe the skin. SelPlex evenly delivers the purest of essential oils without emulsifiers (that can dilute the actives) into the deepest layers of the skin. Combined with SenePlex Complex, the vitamin enhanced anti-aging and moisturizing properties are in fresh form for enhanced results.

This member of the rose family has flowers that are pink in colour, and when the petals fall, the shrub develops vivid, orangey-red seed pods called rosehips. This rosehip oil has been used by local people for its soothing and moisturizing properties. The oil was found not only to help halt the advancement of aging but to actually lessen the appearance of aging and scarring, while restoring natural skin tone and colour.
- Santalum album (Sandalwood) Oil – assists with chapped, dry or inflamed skin and has wonderful moisturizing and hydrating properties. The toning effect is useful when fighting oily skin.

The long-lasting capabilities of ShadowSense with SenePlex® are set up via the SeneDerm SkinCare System and MakeSense® Foundation with SenePlex. Both creamy SenseCosmetics® ShadowSense formulas are nourished with the same proprietary anti-aging formulation and advanced colour technology as the MakeSense Foundation with SenePlex, and of course offer another layer of SenePlex to the very delicate eye area most prone to wrinkling. LipSense
The Science Behind the Product
This unique product is waterproof and does not kiss off, smear off, rub off, or budge off! And, just as important it does not dry out your lips. In fact, it restores the moisture content of your lips when used properly. LipSense Liquid Lip Color can last anywhere between 4 and 18 hours.
LipSense is a non-wax liquid lip colour that stays on your skin. LipSense provides a natural shield from the sun. The proprietary formulations and colour pigments in LipSense help create a mechanical covering for the lips. That means the skin on your lips are protected from the sun’s rays by the colour pigments, therefore your lips are more protected from harmful rays. That is just one of the reasons your lips become so smooth and soft with consistent use of LipSense.:
The patented formulation technology includes Cosmetic grade Denatured Alcohol, which is nothing close to Isopropyl Alcohol–or rubbing alcohol. In fact, you need Denatured Alcohol to apply LipSense to lips. While rubbing alcohol instantly removes LipSense from the skin, we do not recommend the use of rubbing alcohol on the skin because it dries out the skin. LipSense is formulated with Denatured Alcohol because:
· It is thinner than water and suspends the tiny particles within the formula.
· It immediately evaporates from the skin upon the delivery of the technology to the skin. (The “tingling” sensation felt on the lips, when some wearers first begin to use the colour, is the evaporation process of the Denatured Alcohol felt within the dry cracks of the lips. This sensation disappears as lower layers of skin’s moisture content are restored by the use of the moisturizing gloss.)
Tiny Particles: The particles that help the colour pigments to molecularly bind to the skin (see Ingredient listing). Over time, the particles begin to detach from the skin’s surface. The rate at which this occurs varies tremendously and is based upon the pH-balance of each person’s skin and the colour they’ve chosen to wear for the day.
Colour Pigments: Each tube of colour has a varied formulation and mixture of colour pigments to arrive at a specific colour. Some colours naturally last longer than others because of the different body chemistry of each wearer, plus some colours are thicker or richer in colour pigmentations, while others are sheer and thinner.
Layering LipSense: Layering LipSense is a must due to the fact the colour breaks down with the pH balance of the skin.
1st layer: touches the skin’s pH and will begin to break down first and fastest.
2nd layer: protected from the bottom, away from the skin’s pH, by the first layer.
3rd layer: protects the second layer from the top down and prevents sheering of second layer of colour by keeping away friction, saliva, and the natural environment. The third layer breaks down just like the first layer, but from the top down. The second layer is sandwiched between the first and third and is protected by both for the longest period of use.
Mica: LipSense Lip Colors formulated with Micas do not tend to wear as long as the solid matte shades of LipSense. Micas create shine and shimmer. They reflect light and are made of particles that are larger than colour pigments. Micas and may flick off the skin with regular skin movements. Talking and scraping lip movements like drinking from a cup can facilitate this process. You can assume up to an hour of less wear when wearing a Mica colour.
Glossing: It is important to know the long-lasting properties of LipSense are enhanced by any of the LipSense moisturizing glosses. The gloss products also help to keep the lips moist and plump.

· Hypericum Perforatum (St. John’s Wort) Extract: also known as St John’s Wort, a natural herb used to elavate mood and treat depressions.
· Tilia Cordata (Linden) Flower Extract: a natural flower extract rich in flavonoids and a powerful anti-oxidant.
· Isodonis Japonicus Extract: Fragrant plant extract that contains terpenes, shown to have medicinal properties to soothe skin.
· Mica: an earth mineral used to give products sparkle and shine. Titanium Dioxide: an inert earth mineral used as a thickening ingredient and sunscreen in cosmetics. It protects skin from UVA and UVB radiation and is considered to have no risk of skin irritation.
Note: Just as important as what is in LipSense, is what is not! LipSense is formulated with no wax, lead, or animal by-products.
